The Beauty of the Ag Reserve :

Historic Medley’s Photography Exhibition

Poolesville’s Old Town Hall/Bank Building
Sunday, March 10  2p.m. – 5 p.m.

You are invited to attend the opening of HMD’s photography contest and exhibition at Poolesville’s Old Town Hall/Bank building, Sunday, March 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. The exhibit features more than 60 gorgeous photos taken by amateur photographers of western Montgomery County, depicting the vistas, historic sites, animals, and flora of the Ag Reserve, from Seneca to Sugarloaf Mountain. Photos were judged by Poolesville’s own professional photographers Martin Radigan and Hilary Schwab, with ribbons awarded for first through sixth place and honorable mention.

It’s also a first public look at the newly freshened interior of the Bank/Old Town Hall building, where lots of repairs have been done recently, including creating the new Vault Gallery in the historic bank vault of the main floor.  The longtime exhibit of Civil War artifacts has been taken down, with art and antiques carefully stored in new archival cabinets in the basement, for future display in other special exhibits.

The photo exhibit will be open to the public on selected weekend days through the spring. Come revel in the natural beauty of our region–and the talent of our citizens!
