Historic Medley was founded in 1974 to promote the conservation of buildings, structures, objects and spaces that contribute to the historic character of the area; the development and implementation of plans for preserving and using these resources;
promotion of research and education in area history and its contribution to Montgomery County; public testimony; and encouragement of citizen participation in these activities.

The John Poole House.
Originally built in 1793, the restored John Poole House now houses a gift and antique shop.

The Seneca Schoolhouse Museum.
Originally built in 1865, the Seneca School house is a historic one room schoolhouse which is used for a variety of educational programs.

The Poolesville Town Hall.
On July 21, 2006 HMD purchased the former TownHall and it will become Poolesville's gateway to Heritage Tourism.
