- On July 21, 2006 we purchased the former
Poolesville
Town Hall . The former Town Hall will become Poolesville’s gateway for Montgomery Heritage Tourism and will include a
museum of
Poolesville’s historic role during the Civil War. We have been awarded $175,000 from the State of Maryland Heritage Areas Authority (MHAA) and Heritage Montgomery. The grant is to help fund the aquisition and renovation of the building. Further generous support has been made by Austin and Gogo Kiplinger and the Kiplinger Foundation.
