About Historic Medley

Historic Medley was founded in 1974 to promote the conservation of buildings, structures, objects and spaces that contribute to the historic character of the area; the development and implementation of plans for preserving and using these resources;  promotion of research and education in area history and its contribution to Montgomery County; public testimony; and encouragement of citizen participation in these activities. Our Heritage Properties

The John Poole House. Originally built in 1793, the restored John Poole House now houses a gift and antique shop. Click Here for more information on the John Poole House, or to rent this facility for events.

The Seneca Schoolhouse Museum. Originally built in 1865, the Seneca School house is a historic one room schoolhouse which is used for a variety of educational programs. Click here for more information, or to rent this facility.

The Poolesville Museum. On July 21, 2006 HMD purchased the former Town Hall and it will become Poolesville’s gateway to Heritage Tourism. Click here for more information.
